Lavender Morning (Edilean, #1)Lavender Morning by Jude Deveraux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The transition between a romance in 1944 and a current day romance was smooth and believable.  The romance, as always, was superb.  I'm excited to see that Ms. Deveraux has done a series based on this family.  This is right up there with Knight in Shining Armour as Deveraux at her best.

The Girl With the Dragon TattooThe Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Larsson has created a wisp of a girl who is larger than life. I grieved at the injustices done to her.  I felt good about the people who felt protective of her, though she did her best not to let anyone dare show compassion or pity.  Finally I wanted to cheer her on as she gave the establishment the finger.  After reading the book, I watched to Swiss film and the actress who played Lisbeth will always stay the picture that I see of Lisbeth.  Great casting.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's NestThe Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Not as eventful as the other two books in the trilogy, but just as good as the others in setting, characters, and story line.  The best thrillers I've read in many years.  The kind of book that you read then watch the movie with the same enjoyment and fascination.  The death of the author was a tragedy if for no other reason that there can never be another story of Lisbeth's adventures.
