The White MasaiThe White Masai by Corinne Hofmann
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I thought the romance part of this book was cheesy, but the description of living as a Masai and the cultural differences that ended the author's adventure were true to what I know of the Masai and Kenya in general. I was astounded to read how very much small tribe life was comparable to small town red-neck living. The jealousy, mistrust of a woman who demonstrates independence, the back-stabbing, and superstitions were very much comparable to the small town/rural life I grew up in. Amazing how alike we all are.
